POY stands for "partially oriented yarn" and FDY stands for "fully drawn yarn."

FDY, on the other hand, is a type of yarn that has been fully stretched and aligned. This process gives FDY a higher level of strength and elasticity compared to POY. FDY is often used in applications such as texturizing, twisting, and cordage.
