Qualities and Applications of Polyester DTY

Polyester DTY is a multi-filament yarn that has been processed to introduce durable crimps, twists, loops, or interlaces throughout its filament length. It is produced by texturizing polyester partially oriented (POY) yarn using a texturizing machine. Drawn Texturised Yarn is commonly used in weaving or knitting fabrics which are then utilised to manufacture clothes, seat covers and bags among other things. Polyester DTY can be manufactured in semi dull, bright or triloble bright types depending on the kind of areas of the filaments it consists of.

Besides having good elasticity, soft hand feeling and strong tension, this material can also be easily dyed in a wide range of colors with high brightness and uniformity, as well as good color fastness and stability. These properties make it an excellent choice for a variety of applications, including outer and inner garments, fabrics for furniture upholstery, skin-clinging clothing, bedding and prayer carpets. It can be blended with other fibers such as cotton and viscose to produce a wider variety of textile products, such as silky-feeling fabrics or textured woven materials with different textures.

The most important application of polyester DTY is in the field of clothing, especially knitted fabrics and sweaters. It has excellent abrasion resistance and strength, which makes it suitable for making sportswear, trousers, undergarments, dresses and jackets. It can be combined with other fibers, such as silk, wool or cotton, to produce a wide variety of fabrics with different texture, feel and color. It can even be made into knitted fabrics with a combination of different threads to create unique styles and fashions.

Compared with conventional fully drawn yarns, DTY has a low tensile strength, high air permeability and softer hand feeling. It can also be processed with network technology to improve the elasticity and appearance of the yarn. In addition, it can be dyed by adding masterbatch during the spinning process or directly soaked in the dyeing bucket.
